RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THAT PORTION OF
STANFORD AVENUE BFJ.r'WDN PARK BOULEVARD
AND THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RIGHT OF WAY
WBJRl.As, the Council ot the c1t1 or Palo Alto 41d on the
lltb day ot .March, 19~6, paaa its Beaolutlon ot Intention #1~90
to order the following vork ancl improvement to be done in said city, to wit:
That the portion of Stanford Avenue between
Park Boulevard and the Southern Pae1r1c
Right of Way in the City of Palo Alto, be clos~d and abandoned.
'WHEREAS, the su.perintendent of Streete did thereupon
cause notice of the paesage of said Resolution or Intention to
be posted in the form and manner required by lav; and
WHEREAS, the City C~erk caused a e1m11ar notiae to be
published twice in th& Palo Alto 'l'imes, a daily newspaper pub-
lished and circulated 1n the City of Palo Alto which nevspaper
vs.a described. in said Reaolution of Intention il490 by the
Council ae the official ne~spaper 1n which said notice shouJ.d be pub11shed; and
W"'~"ll'.REAS, no objections have been filed against sa1~
propooedwork and impi:-ovement and more than ten (10) da.ya have
elapsed after the expiration of the publication of said notice
of the pa!sage of said Resolution of Intention, and the City
Council has acquired jurisdiction to order said work and improve-ment aa proposed;
NOW, THEREF'ORE, The Council of the City o~ Palo Alto DO RESOLVE as follovs:
That that portion of Stanford Avenue between Park
Boulevard and the Southern Pacific Right of Way, be and the
same is hereby closed and abaru1oned.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of
the City of Palo Alto held on the 8th day of April, 1946, by the follov1ng vote:
AYES: Bentrott, BJ.ois, Bolander, Bovden, Cashel, Freedman,
Linder, Merner, Mitchell, Morten, Richards> Southwood, Tho1ts, Thooas.
