RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PALO ALTO AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION
OF A .R.EQUEST TO THI PUBLIC UTILITIIS

WHEU'.AS on November 6, 1964 the City of Palo Alto entered
into an agreement with th~ Southern Pacific Company for the im·• • provament of protective devices at Churchil-l Avenue, Cros11na No.
E-JLQ, Palo Alto, California; and
WHEREAS the City desires to authorize the submisaion of a
Request for Allocation of Funds under Statut .. 1953, Chapter 173,,
from the Crossing Protection Fuade for said project;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
That the City Manager be and .he hereby is authorized and
direeted to sub(tt a Request for Allocation of Funds under Statutea
1953, Chapter 1739, out of the Crossing Protection Fun~ for the
improvement of protective devicu at the Cbw:cbill Avmue crossing
of the tracks of Southern Pacific Railroad, being Croseing No.
E·ll.O, Palo Alto, California.
The City Manager is further authorized to execute such
Tequest for and in behalf of the City and to do all things
necessary to obtain such allocation.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED: March 1, 1965 by a unanimous vote
