RESOLUTION RELATING TO EMBARCADERO ROAD GRADi
SEPARATION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, tt1e Department of Public works of the
"'tate f)f California proposes to construct with federal
funds, as a feeder road project, a crossing at
separated grades of Embarc~dero Road and the tracks
of the Southern Pacific hailroad, in the City of
Polo Alto, by meanB of a subway or underpass; and
WHEREAS, said Department has presented to the
City of Pl::llo Alto an agreement setting forth the'
obligations of the City of Palo Alto with reference
to said prop•' sed grade separation, particularly the
obligations of the City with reference to the
acquisition of right of way and property damage and
the assumpticn of the maintenance of said crossii18
at separated grade~, subject to the Jurisdiction of
the RutJ.road Commission of the Sttu,e of California.
NOW, '£HEREFDHE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Palo Alto that it assume said
obligations and th~t it ~nter intc said &~reement as
modified by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, a
copy of which is attachad to this resolution, and
that c. H. Jud.scn, llayor of the City of Palo Alto, and
E. L. Beach, City Clerk ol' the City of Palo Alto, be
und tney are hereby authorized and empowert:d. to execute
sttia a~recment for and on behhlf of the City of Po.lo
Alto, and to c~auss the official se~al of said City to be affixed thereto.
