PROVIDING FOR Th"E USE OF SUR?LUS MONEY IN THE
PALO ALTO Jro'lllCIPAL IMPftOVEMENT BOND FUND C? 1927,,
AND FOR AN APPROPRI.lTION TO CONSTRUCT GARAGES ON
THE CI TY HALL PROPERTY:
The Council of the C1ty of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE as follows: Tllat,
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto issued 1ts
serial bonds in the sum of aeventy-rour thoueand
dollars for the construction of public buildings
for the Police and F1r·e Departments of the C1 ty of
Palo Al to; and,
WHEREAS, a.!'tar the objljets and purposes
for which the bonda wore issued have been comp1oted,
theJ.~e remains an 1lne:x.pended balanoe 1n aaid bond tund
of th.e sum of approximately $7 ,500 .OO; and,
WHERE.AS, it ia for the public interest
and welfare of the City that garages be constructed
for the u!e of the City on the 01 ty hall property, end,
·.vnERE.AS, accord!ng to the plans and
spac1f1cat1ons of the City Engineer, the cost of
the construction of said garages and walls and
paving in the area adjacent to the c1 ty hall SI1d
Policd and Fire Department Building 13 the sum of
~9' ')00.00 ..
NOW, TliEREFOREt IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that
the unexpended balance in said bond fund ot approx1mat~~
ly the sum. of $7 ,500 .oo be trnnsferred to the general
fund, a.."ld that the sum of $1,500.00 be appropriated
from the unexpended balance in the general fund,
to sup·..,l~ment so.id unexpended be.lance and the whole
t.hereof to be drawn on by warrants to pay for the cost
of the conatruct1on of said garages, and work to
be done in accordance with the plans and apec1.t1ca-
t1ons therefor.
The above and foregoing resolution was
duly passed 'by theC1ty Council of tho City of Palo
Alto e.t a meeting held on the 31st day of
0ctober, 1927, by the following vote:
