The Council o! the City or falo Alto
DO RESOLVE as follows:
· Wff~AS, certain investments of active
nnd 1nact1v8 finds in aecur1t1ea are permitted
by the general law ot the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, from time to time it 1a
advantageous to the City of Palo Alto to invest
auch tundu 1n parmitted aecur1tiea:
NOW, THEREFORE, Be jl.t Resolved that
tho City Treasurer be, and he is hereby
authorized to invest such fu.ncls, when by him
such investment ia deemed adv1mtageoue, tor
the b1.sst interests of this C11:y, in any or all
securities in whioh municipal deposits mar be
legally invested under the la~1s of thies State:
Provided, .further, 1;hat such invest-
ments shall be determined b1 ·che 'l'r~asurer
a.fter conference with Comm1 tt1ee No. o ot the
City Council.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to
poat • copy of this resolution on the bulletin
board at the city hall, and to give eop1ea ot

The above and foregoing resolution
