RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
841 NEWELL ROAD. PALO ALTO. CALIFORNIA
Wt£REAS. it is the intention of the Council of the City of Palo Alto to
vacate a public utility easement in the City of Palo Alto. County of Santa Clara.
State of California as described in Exhibit •A• attached hereto and as shown on a
map marked Exhibit "B" attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, said easement was obtained but never utilized by the City and is
not required by City use; and
WHEREAS. on October 6. 1980. the Council of the City of Palo Alto passed a
resolution setting forth the time and place for a public hearing for all persons
interested in the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS. from al 1 the evidence submitted to the Council of the Cfty of Palo
Alto at said hearing it is found that said easements as described herein are
unnecessary for present of prospective public utility purposes.
HOW. THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as
follows:
SECTION 1. The Council of the City of Palo Alto does hereby order that said
easenent as described herein be and hereby is vacated.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby determines th~t this is not a project as
defined in Section 11.04.130 of the Palo Alto-Munfcip~~ Code and. therefore. no
environmental impact assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of its resolution to
be recoraea in the office of the County Recorder of Santa Clara County • •

lying adiacent to and northwesterly of the south-
easterly line of Lot 11, Block 5, as said Lot,
Block, and Public Utilities easement are shown
on that certain map entitled "Tract No. 1256 -
Channing Park Unit No.3" recorded on November 12,
1954 in Book 53 of ma.pa at page 29, Santa Clara
