RESOLUTION NO. 5839
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
DECLARING ITS INTENT TO VACATE A SURPLUS PUBLIC
UTILITY EASEMENT AT 841 NEWELL ROAD, PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Council of Palo Alto to vacate
a public ut i1 ity easement in the City of Palo Al to, Count.Y of Santa
Clara, State of California as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and shown on a map marked Exhibit 11 811 attached hereto and by reference
made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, said easement was obtained but never utilized by the City
and is not required for City use.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows~
SECTION 1. The Council of the City of Palo ft.lto does hereby
declare its intention to vacdte a public utility easement in the City
of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clarai State of California, as described
in Exhibit "An attached hereto and as shQwn on a map marked Exhibit "B"
attached hereto and placed on file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby orders that a public hearing take
place on November 3, 1980 in the Council Chambers, 250 Hamilton Avenue,
Palo Alto, California for all persons interested in the proposed
vacation.
SECTION J. The Council hereby declared that this is not a project
as defined in Section il.04.130 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, and,
therefore, no environmental impact assessment is necessary.

1954 in Book 53 of llUlps at paqe 29, Santa Clara
County Records.
