RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JAY U. MITCHELL
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF
THE PLANNING COMf.1ISSJON
WHfREAS, Jay W. Mitchell has served the City of Palo Alto as a member
of the Planning C011111ission from August 1, 1976 to July 31, 1980; and
WHEREAS, J~y w. Mitchell served as Vice Chainnan of the Planning
Con1nission in 1978 and served as Chairman in 1980; and
WHEREAS~ Jay W. Mitchell has given unselfishly of his time and talents
to assist in guiding the growth and development of the City in the best
interest of the total conmunity; and
WHEREAS, Jay W. Mitchell has made a significant personal contribution
to the conrnunity through his diligent and conscientious efforts while
serving as a member of the Planning COfmlission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to recognize ·the service of
Jay W. Mitchell.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Palo
Alto hereby gr.Jtefully re~ords its appreciation, as well as the appreciation
of the citizens of the conmunity~ for the outstanding public service rendered
by Jay W. Mitchell.
