RESOLUTION NO. 5822
RESOLUTION OF TilE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 5656, 5751, AND 5760 TO
DELETE THE $6 BI-WEEKLY EXPENSE ALLOWANCE FOR COUNCIL
MEMBERS
WHEREAS, this Council has considered an increase to $400
per month in the salary of each Councilmember to become effec-
tive upon the commencement of the next succeeding term of office
for each Councilmember position1 and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to delete the $6
bi-weekly expense allowance which is received by each Council-
member upon the effective date of said increase in salary7
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. Resolution Noa. 5656, 5751, and 5760 are amend-
ed to delete the $6 bi-weekly expenee allowance for Council-
members; said deletion shall become effective upon the date that
each Councilmember position begins to receiv~ the salary in-
crease auth1rized by Ordinance of this Council.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective upon the ado~tion of Ordinance No. ~·
