HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5799• ,J I RESOLUTION NO. 5799 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING SCHEDULE G-1 DUE TO TUE EFFECT OF A WHOLE- SALE GAS PRICE INCREASE UPON PALO ALTO GAS RATES WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted R2solution No. 5775, which authorizes the City Manager to implement nondiscretionary adjustments to Palo Alto gas rates to refl~ct wholesale gas rate increases and to track Pacific Gas and Electric {PG&E) retail rate schedules G-1 and G-2; and WHEREAS, effective May 4, 1980, an increase in the wholesale gas cost was imposed upon the City of Palo Alto; and WHEREAS, the City Manager automatically adjusted revenues and in accordance with Resolution 5775 has notified this Council of his ministerial actio~; NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: .SECTION 1. This Council finds that the action i!&ken by the City Manager is in accordance with the provisions of Resolution 5775; that the Palo Alto Gas Rate Schedule G-1 shall •ubatantially conform with those rates contained on PG&E General Servic• Rate Schedules G-1 and G-2, that the effective date is identical to that date of the price increase, and that in all respect• such nondiacretionary adjustments are approved. SECTION 2. Thia Council find• that the revenue derived fran the authorized adjuat.ment1 of said gas rates by the City Manaqer shall be used only for the purposes ••t forth in the Palo Alto City Charter, Article VII, section 2, entitled "Public Utilitiea Revenue." The adnption of this Resolution ia, therefore, apecif ically exempted under ~~lie Resource• Code section 21080(b) (8) frcn the requirements of CEQA. SECTION J. THE HONO:uillLE CITY COUNCIL Palo Alto, California May 19, 1980 Re: CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE APPLIED TO HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMI~TEE Dear Members of the Council: I have drafted necessary amendments to the resolutions implementing the City of Palo Alto Conflict of Interest Code for Designated Positions. In accordance with previously implemented City Council policy, the Historic Resources Committee as an appointed board, is subject to the reporting requirements of our designated code. The reporting requirements for the Historic Resources Committee will be very limited and disclosure will be required of interests in real property exceeding $1,000 located within the City of Palo Alto and subject to the control of the Historic Resources Committee, i.e. historic buildings or buildings within historic districts.
