HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5798• ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 5798 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO P.MENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 5737 AND 5738 REGARDING THE CITY OF PALO ALTO CONFLI:T OF INTEREST FOR DESIGNATED POSITIONS TO INCLUDE REPORTING REQUIRE- MENTS FOR MEMBERS OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMITTEE WHEREAS, this Council has previously adopted an ordinance establishing a conflict of interest code for the City of Palo Alto for designated posi- tions; and WHEREAS, Resolution Nos. 5737 and 5738 set forth both persons required to report pursuant to such code, and the disclosure categories applicable to such persons; and WHEREAS, the City's conflict of interest code has been applied to its appointed boards and commissions; NOW, THEREFORE, t.he Council of ~...he City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The Historic Resources Committee is hereby specified as a designated position under the title "Appointed Officials" and Resolution No. 5738 is hereby so amended. The Historic Resources Committee is assigned to the disclosure category designated as No. B in Resolution No. 5737. SECTION 2. Resolution No. 5737 is hereby amended to add disclosure category No. 8 as follows: "Persons in this category shall disclose all interests in real property within the City of ~alo Alto or subject to the jurisdiction of the City of Palo Alto which are subject to regulation or control by the City agency with which the person is affiliated.~ SECTION 3. The Council finds tha·t this is not a project and, there- fore, no environmental impact assessment is necessary. In accordance with previously implementen City Council policy, the Historic Resources Committee as an appointed board, is subject to the reporting requirements of our designated code. The reporting requirements for the Historic Resources Committee will be very limited and disclosure will be required of interests in real property excePding $1,000 located within the City of Palo Alto and subject to the control of the Historic Resources Committee, i.e. historic buildings or buildings within historic districts.
