RESOLUTION NO. 5787
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AFFIRMING ITS DESIRE AND COMMITMENT TO MAINTAIN
AND SUPPORT THE PALO ALTO JUNIOR MUSEUM
AND LUCY EVANS BAYLANDS NATURE INTERPRETIVE CENTER
WdEREAS, the American Association of Museums (AAM) conducts an
accreditation program that seeks as its goal to raise professional
standards of museums in A.~erica; and
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Junior Museum and the Lucy Evans Baylands
Nature Interpretive Center have sought accreditation by AAM and
received "interim approval"; and
WHEP.EAS, as one condition of final AAM accreditation, the AAM
Accreditation Commission requires that the City of Palo Alto affirm
its commitment to maintain and support the Palo Alto Junior Museum
and the Lucy Evans Baylands Nature Interpretive Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto RESOLVES
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City of Palo Alto hereby affirms its desire and
commitment to support and maintain the Palo Alto Junior Museum and
the Lucy Evans Baylands Nature Interpretive Center.
SECTION 2. The Council of the City of ~alo Alto finds that this
is not a project and, therefore, no environmental impact assessment
is necessary.
