HESOLUTION NO. 5786
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF ·u-JE CITY OF PAW AL'l'O
COMMENDING LOUIS B. GREEN FOR HIS SEP.VICE TO THE
CITY OF PALO ALTO
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Palo Alto,
California, that:
WHEREAS, LOUIS B. GREEN served as Assistant City Attorney for
the City of Palo Alto from January, 1976 through December, 1978,
and as Senior Assistant City Attorney from January, 1979 until the
present; and
WHEREAS, he provided legal advice to the City Council and the
Planning Commission during that period; and
WHEREAS, he pursued his duties during this period with great
punctuality, good humor, common sense, fairness and courtesy, and
willingly and cheerfully spent many evening hours i·.:l the perfor-
mance of his responsibilities to the City; and
WHEREAS, this Council has come to regard him as a thoughtful
man with a keen insight into the planning process, and the rights
of the individual in the corrununity; and
WHEREAS, his contributions to the c~~v will live on through
his assistance in the preparation of tr:: :t.oning code, subdivision
ordinance, and the comprehensive plan .'\nd its elements, and his
participation in solving large and small problems~

NOW, THEREFOP..E, this Council does hereby confer upon:
LOUIS B. GREEN
its commendation for his contribution to the City of Palo Alto, and
wishes him a successful and conte11t tenure in the City of Davis,
California.
