RESOLUTION NO. 5771
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING WEED NUISANCE ABATED
WHEREAS, this Council did on January 7, 1980, adopt its Resolution
No. 5759 declaring weeds to be a nuisance and setting February 4, 1980,
at 7:30 p.m., in the City Hall as the time and place for a hearing of
objections to the proposed destruction or removal of weeds; and
WHE&"SAS, in accordance with said Resolution No. 5759, notice of
such hearings was given in the manner provided by law, as appears from
the affidavits o~ file in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the time
therein fixed: and
WHEREAS, interested persons appeared or filed written ob-
jection against said proceedings or any part thereof, all persons de-
siring to be heard were given an op?ortunity to be heard, and all mat-
ters and things pertaining to said weed abatement were fully heard and
considered by this council;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1~ Any and all objections to the proposed destruction or
removal of such weeds, be, and each of them hereby is, overruled.
SECTION 2. The Director of Public Works hereby is ordered to
abate· such nuisance, or cause the same to be abated by means of
Contract No. 3820 for that purpose with the County of Santa Clara, and
as provided in Chapter 8.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, and to do
all things necessary and authorized in said chapter.
SECTICN 3. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that none
of the provisions of this Resolution will have a significant adverse
environmental impact.

SECTICN 7. The Council of the City of Palo Alto appoints ROY C.
ABRAMS, as legal counsel for the City of Palo Alto to sign the certifi-
cation on page 1 of application; and
SECTION 8. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that this
project will have no significant adverse environmental impact.
