RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE CITY MANAGER'S APPOINTMENT OF A
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER
WHEREAS, Section 2.08.020 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code
requires that this Council approve the City Managerfs a?pointments
to certain designated positions, including Director of Public Works/
City Engineer; and
WHEREAS. the City Manager has appointed David Adams as Director
of Public Works/City Engineer;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council, pursuant to its authority set
forth in Section 2.08.020 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, approves
the City Manager's a?pointment of David Adams as Director of Public
Works/City Engineer.
SECTION 2. The Compensation Plan for Management and Council
Appointees is amended to provide in Section III J for an automobile
allowance of $160/month for the Db ector of Public J:':"ks/City
Engineer.
SECTION 3. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that
this is not a project under the California Environmental Quality
Act and, therefore, no envirornuental impact assessment is nec~ssary.
