The Council of the City of Palo Alto DO HESOLVS
as follows:
That the Mayor and City Cl~rk of thu City of
Palo Alto are hereby authorized and empowered to
n~gotiate a loan or loans as required from time to
t1~ for the City of Palo Alto, not to exceed the
Sillll of $201 000.00 .fo:i.' the purpose o1" carrying on
the busine~ of the ¢ity until s"Uch time as t!l.xcs
are collected for said purpose; and said official~
are hereby authorized to execute a promissory nota
or notes in th~ name of the City of Palo Alto, 'oy
themselves as said o!f1c1als, and to deliver the same
as evidence of the promise to :pay said loan.
