Tbe Council of the City of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE
as tollowsJ
• That, upon tbe recommendation of the Board or
Public Works of the City of Palo Alto approved by
Committee lo. 1 of the City Council, lt is determined
that a bo~d issue for the sum of Ninety Thousand Dollars
($90!000.00) tor the extension, construction and
co•p etion of a sewer systea for the City or Palo Alto,
in accordance with plans and specification~or 3aid
purpose, is a necessity and that the necessary proeedure
be had and taken for this purpose in accordance with
the statutes of the state;
That, in furtherance or said public work, a sinking
tund be, and 1s hereby, established for the construction
ot a sewage treatment plant; that the Council for this
purpose shall set aside yearly for said sinking fund
to construct said treatment plant all rental received
from the Leland Stanford Junior University for the use ot said sewer system, and, in addition thereto, a further
sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($s,ooo.oc) a year, to be
placed in tLe annual budget for this purpose, said sinking
fund to be a special fund to be used for the purposes
stated only.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a reg1ilar meeting of the Council held on
July 11, 1932, by the following vote:
