NOW,. TUUFQR:E, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows~
SECTION l. The Council of the. Ci.t.y of Pal.o Alto hEa~eby
e..ndoraea the ~eneral policy and approach: to .Olid w--.te·disposal
and pro<»asing as presented in the DeQUtber l.6,. 19.11... memorandum
entitled •Policy~ ActiOQ P-lan f'or North:'County So.lid Waste
Disposal syst.em -Re.vi.s.icm 1•. developed by the North county

SECTION 2. The Council _of tha-City of Palo Al.to hereby
expresses its intention to commi.t its appropriate share of Council,
staff, and financial resources necessary to promote the success-
ful and expedient implementation of the proposed program.
SECTION 3. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby
finds that this is not a project as defined in Section ll.04.130
of the Palo Alto Muni~ipal Code, and therefore no environmental
impact assessment is necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk hereby is authorized and directed
to send a certified copy of this resolution to the City of
Cupertino, the City of Los Altos, the Towfl of Los Altos Hills,
the City of Mountain View, the County of Santa Clara, and the
City of Swmyvale.
