RESOLUTION NO. 5309
RESOLUTION OF THE COUBCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO .ALTO
DESIGKATtHG THE Fill CBIJ!F AS ISSUING AtmlORITY FOR
ISSUANCE OF EXPLOSIVE PEBKITS
WHEREAS. the provisions of Section 12000 to 12401, inclwrive,
of the Health and Safety Code deal with high explosives;_ and
WHEREAS, the specif.ic provisions of Section 12007 of said
Health and Safety Code require that the governing body designate
the appropriate official who shall be deemed to be the issuing
authority for the issuance of explosive permits \Dlder said code
section.
NOW, THEREFORE. the Council of th~ City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION l. The City Council hereby does designate the Fire
Chief of the e1ty of Palo Alto as the issuing authority for the
i•suance of explosive .permi.ts under and by virtue of the pro-
visions of the above code section.
SECTION 2. The Council of the Cityof Palo Alto hereby finds
that the enactment of this reaoiution is not a "project" within
the meaning of that -te1'D. _as: defined in _Section 11. 04 .130 of the
Palo Alto Mun:l.cipal Code .and, therefore, no enviromaental assess-ment is necessary. · ·
