A !lESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL
OF ENGINEER'S REPORT
SILVA AVENUE -SILVA COURT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
SANITARY SEWERAGE PROJECT
RESOLVED, by the Cotmcil of the City of Palo Alto,
California, that
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of October, 1976, said Council
did adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 5268 to acquire and
construct improvements in said City, and did refer the pro-
posed acquisitions and improvements to the Engineer of Work,
who is hereby determined to be the City Engineer, he being the
officer having charge and control of the acquisitions and con-
struction of public improvements in and for said City of the
kind described therein and being a competent person employed by
said City for that purpose, and did therein direct said ~ng:i.tleer
to make and file with the City Clerk a report in writing all as
therein more particularly described, under and pursuant to the
provisions of Sec. 13.12.040. Chapter 13.12, Title 13 of said
Code (analogous to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913);
WHEREAS, said Engineer has ma.de and filed with the City
Clerk a report in writing as called for in said Resolution of
Intention and under and pursuant to said Code, which report has
been presented to this Council for consideration;
WHEREAS, said Council has duly considered said report
and each and every part thereof, and finds that each and every
part of said report is sufficient, and that said report, nor any
part thereof requires or should be modified in any respect;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That the plans and specifications for the proposed
improvements to be made, contained in said report, be, and
they are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed.
2. That the Engineer's estimate of the itemized and
total costs and expenses of said acquisitions and improvements
and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith, con-
tained in said report, be, and each of them are hereby, prelimi-
narily approved and confirmed.
3. That the diagram showing the assessment district
referred to and described in said Resolution of Intention and
also the boundaries and dimensions of the respective subdivisions
of land within said assessment district as the same existed at
the time of the passage of said Resolution of Intention, each of
which subdivisions have been given a separate number upon said
diagram, as contained in said report, be, and it is hereby, pre-
liminarily approved and confirmed.
4. That the proposed assessments upon the several sub-
divisions of land in s.~.:.d assessment district in proportion to
the estimated benefits to be received by such subdivisions, re-
spectively, from said acquisitions and iI!lprovements, and of the
incidental expenses thereof, as contained in said report, be, and
they are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed.
5. That the maps and descriptions of the lands and easements
to be acquired, as contained in said report, be, and the same are
hereby, preliminarily approved.
6. That said report shall stand as the Engineer's Report
for the purposes of all subsequent proceedings had pursuant to
said Resolution of Intention.

I hereby certify that the fore~oing is a full, true and
correct copy of a resolution duly passed and_ adopted by the
Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof
held on the 20th day of December , 197~, by th~ following
vote of the-members thereof:
