RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING· SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FOR LAFCO
APPROVAL OF STANFORD AHNEXATION NO. 19
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto has considered
and proposes to implement a road widening and improvement project
known generally as the Willow Road improvement project; and
WHEREAS,. the Council c•f the City of Palo Alto did~ on
December 15; 1975, designate a specific road alignment fc~ said
project1 and
WHEREAS~ the future right-of-way proposed by said alignment
would encompass certain vacant lands located in the unincorporated
tei:ritory of the County of Santa Clara~ which lands are described
in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference;
NOWP THEREFORE~ the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows: .
SECTION 1. The Council hereby authorizes and approves the
submittal to t:AFco of an application requesting approval to initiate
annexation proceedings for the anneXa.tion of those lands described
in EXHIBIT A to the City of Palo hlto.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that the action taken herein
does not constitute a project subject to the provisions of the
California Environmental QUality Act or Title 11 of the Palo ~lto
Municipal Code.

ALL THAT certain real property situate in the County of-Santa Clara. State of
California more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING-at the most Westerly corner of that certain parcel described as "Parcel
A" in Book 4519 of Official Records of Santa Clara County at Page 413 said point
lying on the Corporate Lim.its of the City of Palo Alto; thence from said Point
-of Beginning along the Southwesterly line of said uParcel A" and along the
Corporate Limits of the City of Palo Alto South 42°42'35~' Bast 41 • .50 feet; thence
leaving the boundary of Parcel A and leaving the Corporate Liaits of the City of
Palo Alto~ South 47°17'25" West·2491.46 feet; thence along the arc of a te;og.a:t
curve to the left having a.radius of 1029.5 through a central anale of 1·~·
a distance of 126.38 feet ; thence South 40°1S'2S" Vest 180 feet 110re or leas
to the-centerline of San Francisquito Creek; thence Northerly along said centerline
50 feet more or less to an angle point in the Corporate Limits of the City of
Palo Alto, said angle point lying at the intersection of the centerline of San·
Fraccisquito Creek and a line parallel to and 19.00 feet Northwesterly of the
Southeasterly line of Willow Road as described in "Parcel A" of Book 8730 of
Official Records of Santa Clara County at Page 559; thence along said parallel
line North 40°15'25" East 153.23 feet; thence along the arc of a tangent curve
to the right having a radius of 1071 feet through a central angle of 7°02' a
distance of 131. 47 feet; thence Borth 47°17 '25". East 2491.46 feet to the Point
-of Beginning. ·
