HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5301that -· RESOLUTION NO. -. 5301 ORIGINAL A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS IN RELATION TO PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS, AND DIRECTING NOTICE UNIVERSITY AVENUE AREA OFFSTREET PARKING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT . PROJECT NO. 75-63 RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 5242 adopted OR August 9, 1976, by the Council of this City pursuant to the Palo Alto Municipal Code, the City Engineer has filed with the City Clerk the written report called for under said Code and by said Resolution ot Intention, which report has been presented by said Clerk to this Council for consideration, and this Council has conside~ed a..~d pre- liminarily approved and confirmed same and ordered that said report stand as the report for the purpose of all subsequent proceedings had pursuant to said Resolution of Intention; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that _Mcimlay , the 17th day of -- _Ja~uary, 1976, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the regular meeting plaoe of said Council, Council Chambers, Civic Center, Palo Alto, California, be, and the same are hereby appointed and fixed as the time and pla~e when and where the CoWlcil will consider and finally act upon the Engineer's Report under said Resolution of Intention. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing twice in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, and by conspicu- ously posting a notice thereof along all the open streets within the assessment district at not more than three hundred feet apart and n9t less than three in all; said posting and first publication to be had· and completed at least ten (10) days before the date herein set tor hearing of protests. f • • • . • • • IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said notices to be posted shall be headed "Notice of Improvement" in letters of not less than one-half inch in height, and shall, in legible characters, state the tact and date of the passage of said Resolution of Intention, and of the filing of said report and of the date, hour and place set for the hearing of said protests, and briefly describe the acquisitions and.improvements proposed·to be made, and refer to said Resolution of Intention and report for further particulars. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk shall mail or cause to be mailed notice of t~e adoption of said Resolution of Intention and the ·filing of said report, postage prepaid, at least t•:!n ( 10) days before the date set for hearing of said protests,-to all persons own- ing real property to be assessed, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for City taxes prior .thereto, or as known to the Clerk, which notice shall contain a statement of the time, place ~d purpose of the hearing on said Resolution of Intention and report and a statement of the total estimated cost of the proposed acquisitions and improvements, together with a statement that any person interested may file a protest 1n writing as provided in said Municipal Code.
