RESOLUTION' NO. 5300 ORIGINAL
A RESOLUTION DESCRIBING PROPOSED BOUNDARIES
OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, DIRECTING FILING
OF BOUNDARY MAP AND THE RECORDATION OF
NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT
UNIVERSITY AVENUE AREA OFFSTREET PARK.LNG ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
PROJECT NO. 75-63
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, this Council proposes to undertake proceedings for the
formation of an assessment district pursuant to Resolution of Inte&-
tion No. 5242 adopted by tbis Council on August 9~ 1976; _
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED; as follows: .. . -1. The proposed boundaries of said assessment district to be
assessed in said proceedings are hereby described as shown on a map
of said assessment district on file in the office of the City Clerk;
which indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory
included in the proposed a$sessment district and which shall govern
for all det\.11s as tQ the extent of such district, reference to such"

map being hereby made for particulars.· Said map contain~-~~e name
of th~ City and a distinctivl~des1gnat1on in words or by number or
the district shown thereon.
-2. On the original and at least one cop1 or said map the City -
Clerk shall endorse her certificate ev1denclng the date and adoption •
ot this resolution. The Clerk·shall tile the original o.f such map
in her of'.fice and, within lO days af'ter adoption of the.reso:ut.ion
fixing time and place of hearing on the formation or extent or said
district, and in no event later than 10 days prior to such hearing,
shall file a copy thereof with the-County Reco~der or the County or
Santa Clara,. in which all ()f such proposed asses~ment d1s.tr1ct is
located.
3. The County Recorder shall endorse on the copy or said map
the time and date or f1.11ng and shall faaten the same securely 1n a
book of maps or assess~nt:dist.ricts which he shall keep in his

office. The County Re~order shall index such'map by the name of the
entity conducting the proceedings and by the distinctive designation
of the district as shown on such map.
4. After confirmation of the assessment by this Council, the
City Clerk shall execute and record a Notice of Assessment in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, such notice
to be ~n substantially the form provided in Section 3llij of the Streets
and Highways Code, except that any references to an ~ssessment diagram
therein shall be deleted.
5. The appropriate officer or officers are hereby authorized
to pay any and all fees required by law in connection with the above.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full~ true and correct
copy of a resolution duly passed arid adopted by the Council of the
City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held on the ·13th
