RESOLUTION NO. 5266
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF.THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING A PRELIMINARY PARCEL-MAP. FOR PROPERTY
KNOWN AS 5065-SKYLINE BOULEVARD. AND.GRANTING
EXCEPTIONS AND VAR.IANCES. SUBJECT.TO C(>NDI'l'IONS
WHEREAS, 27.10 acres of land zoned 0-S in the City of Palo
Alto and 1.80 acres of· land in the County of San Mateo, being a
portion of Section 26, Township 7 south~ Range 3 West, M.D.B.&M.,
located at approximately the 22600: block of .. Skyline· Boulevard
(approximately 2.5.miles south of the intersection of Page Mill.
Road and Skyline Boulevard) and identified as Santa Clara
Assessor's Parcel Numbers 351-12-26~. 351-12-27, 351-i2-40, and
· 351-12-41, and San Mateo County Assessor's Parce·l Numbers
080-412-030, 080-412-020, and.oso~412-010,.hereinafter referred
to as the "subject property" are proposed to be divided in. four
parcels1 and
WHEREAS, Lots B, c, and D shown on the.p~.eliminary map are
required by Section . 21. 20 .110 of the: Palo"Alto ·..Municipal Code ·
to have a minimum area .of. 10 acres and fail· .to have said acreage
requiring an exception from said .r.eq~ixements; and
: WHEREAS~ the existing building.:on lot..:A.~ill.have a sub-
standard front setbackJ the existing buildings.on lot B will
have substandard front and rear .setbacks.;.. the. existing:buildings
on lot C will have substandard .£ront·* side and rear-setbacks;

WJIEREAS, lots-A,. B, and C will be divided by a city boundary
line, 'thereby requiring an exception from.the.requirements of
section 21.20.130 of the Palo Alto.Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE-,. the council. of the Ci~ of Palo· Alto does

SECTION 2. The Council· . .hereby .approv ... the preliminary ·

21.20.110, 21.20.1..30, 18:.71.090, 18.71..100, 18.71.110 and
Chapter 20.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code~ subject to the
following conditions:
l. The applicant shall obtain. approval of the
parcel map from the county·of San Mateo prior
to filing the parcel map with the City of
Palo Altor
2. The applicant shall provide fell: permanent access
to ail lots from Skyline Boulevard in a· manner
acceptable to-the City of Palo Altot
3. At ·such time as the county. boundary line may be
realigned, the port.ic:>n of the subdivided lands
current1y within the Cou...nty . of San Mateo ahall
be annexed to Palo Alto1
