RESOLUTION NO. 5245
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING A CONTRACT TO BE BOUND BY THE PROVISIONS
OF A HUD GRANT CONTRACT TO ACQUIRE LAND FOR OPEN
SPACE PURPOSES UNDER TITLE VII OF THE HOUSING ACT
OF 1961 AS AMENDED
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does hereby RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION l. The proposed "Contract Agreeing to be Bound by
the Provisions of Grant contracts to Acquire and/or Develop L~nd
for Open-Space Purposes Under Title VII of the Housing Act of
1961, as amended," a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
"l" and incorporated herein, ia hereby in all respects approved.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Palo Alto is hereby
authorized ana directed to execute said contract in two (2)
counterparts on behalf of the City of Palo Alto.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Palo Alto is hereby
authorized and directed to impress and attest the official seal
of t..he City of Palo Alto on each such counterpart and to forward
such counterparts to the Department of Housing and Urbari Develop-
ment, for execution on behalf of the Government ~ogether with such
other documents relative to the approval and execution of such
counterparts as may be required by the Goverrunent.
SECTION 4. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that
this action is not a project subject to the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act.
SECTION S. This resolution shall take effec~ immediately.
