RESOLUTION OF THE.COUNCIL OF THE CI~Y OF PALO ALTO
OECLAR1NG ITS. ImENTION .'l'O .ORDER:.'l'~CATION OF A
PU~LIC UTILIT~ EASEMENT AND 'SETTING A .PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON (3239 .EL CAM~NO REAL)
The Council of the City of ·Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION l. It is the intention of the Council of the City of
Palo Alto to vacate a five-foot easement situate in the City of
Palo Alto, County of-Santa Clara, ·state of California as described
in EXHIBIT A and as set forth on a map entitled EXHIBIT B, both
attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. Monday, the · 14th day of June , 1976,
at 7:30 p.m. in the Council chambers, C1vic Center, Palo Alto,
California, is set as the time and-place of hearin9 where and
when any person having an interest in such proceedings may appee..r
and be heard either for or against such vacation.
SECTION 3. All of the proceedings for the vacation of said
easement shall be conducted pursuant to Article 5 (commencing with
Section 50430) Chapter 2, Part l, Division l, Title 5 of the
Government Code of the State of 'California.
SECTION 4. The City Engineer is directed to post notices of
this 1ntent to vacate conspicuously along the easement to be
vacated as described in Section 1 hereof at least ten (10) days
before the hearing, posting them no more than three hundred (300)
feet apart, but there shall.be· at least three (3) notices posted.
such notices shall state the.passage of this resolution of in-
tention and the time and place of the hearing.
SECTION s. ·The.City Clerk is directed to publish a copy of
this resolution in the Palo Alto Times once each week prior to the
date of hearing.
SECTioN·6. ·The Coilncil"hereby finds that this is not a project
as defined in Section 11.04.130 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code and,
therefore, no envir~nmental·impact assessment is necessary.

corded February 28,-1905;-in Book "K" of
Maps at Page 47, Records of Santa Clara
County, Calif6rnia1
Thence northwesterly along the northeasterly
line of said lot 49.93-feet;
Thence southwesterly at right angles s.oo
feet;
Thence southeasterly-parallel-to said north-
easterly line of Lot 24 49.93 feet to a point
on the southeasterly line of said ·Lot 247
Thence northeasterly along said southeasterly
line 5.00 feet to the point of beginning
being a portion of said Lot 24.
