HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5210, ·9 or_~·,31NAL RESOLUTION NO. 5210 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF"TRE.CITY OF.PALO ALTO . , ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY.FOR TH~ ENFORCEMENT OF THE MOBif.,EHOME PARKS.ACT AND.RELATED REGULATIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE AND DESIGNATING THE ENFORCEMENT AGENCY WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 18300 of the Health and Safety.Code, any city may assume responsibility for the enforcement of the Mobilehome Parks Act and related regulations of the California Administrative Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council has ascertained that it is in the interest of the City of Palo Alto to assume responsibility for the enforcement of the Mobilehome Parks Act and related regula- tions of the California Administrative Code; NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the r.ity of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The City of Palo Alto hereby assumes responsi- bility for the enforcement of the California Health and Safety Code, Division 13, Part 2.1 (Mobilehome Parks· Act) and related regulations of the California Administrative Code, Title 25, 'Chapter S, within the City of Palo Alto. SECTIOH 2. The Council· of the CitY: of Palo Alto hereby designate• the Division of Inspectional services as the enforce- ment agency for the City of ·Palo Alto. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby directs the City Clerk to forward two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to the Department of Housinq and Community Development of the State of California not less than thirty (30) days prior to the effectiv~ date of assumption of enforcement prescribed in section 3 hereof. SECTION s. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that the enactment of this resolution is not a "project• within the meaning of S~ction 11.04.130 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, and, therefore, no environmental assessment is necessary.
