RESOLUTION NO. 5189
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
COMMENDING THE STUDY GROUP FOR THE ELlMlNATlON OF
ARCHITECTURAL BARRIERS TO THE PHYSICALLY DISABLED
FOR OUTSTANDING AND CO~SCIE~rrous SERVICE

~~iEREAS, each member has diligently and unselfishly contributed their
time and talents while serving the study group for the elimination ~f Architec-
tural Barriers to the physically disabled from June 1973 to January 1976; ·and
WHEREAS, each member of the st~dy group assisted in developing plans and
projects which facilitated the removal of architectural barriers in Ctty facil~
!ties and which encouraged barrier-free construction throughout the community; and
WHEREAS, each member has made a significant contribution to the community by
assisting in developing building and architecturai review procedures, curb ramping,
and other farsighted programs and polici~s which have improved the opportunities
of handicapped citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the 9utstanding and
~eritorious service of each member of the study group;
THEP.EFO~, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby
commends the outstanding and conscientious service of each m.'ttber of the study
group for the elimination of Architectural Barriers to the physically disabled,
and records its appreciation of th~ citizens of this community for the service
and contribution rendered.
