RESOLUTION NO. 5749
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE USi: OF 1980-81 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
FUNDS
WHEREAS, on February 12, 1979, the City Council adopted the
1979-82 Com:nunity Development Plan, the 1979-82 Conmunity Develop-
ment Program and the 1979-82 Housing Assistance Plan; and
WHEREAS, the 1980-81 CODl1lUllity Development Funds are proposed
in order to implement the above plans and program; and
WHEREAS, potential uses in federal Community Development Block
Grant funds have been evaluated in light of the needs of the com-
munity Committee and other interested citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Finance and Public Works Committee and the City
Council have held advertised public hearings on the proposed use
of 1980-81 Conmrunity Development Funds; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this program to give the highest
priority to activities which will benefit low/moderate income per-
sons and aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council hereby adopts the use of Community
Development fundB for the following programs:
1. Tenant/Landlord Information and Mediation Referral;
2. Caravan House, Palo Alto Adolescent Services Corporation;
3, Palo Alto Community Child Care -Renovation of Ventura
School;
4. Adlai E. Stevenson House;
5. Senior Home Repair Service;
6, Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing;
7. Project SAFE;
8, Palo Alto Housing Corporation Administration;
9. Rental Housing Acquisition Program;
10. Palo Alto's Citywide Housing Improvement Program;
11. Housing Land Bank;
12. Renovation of Harvey House;
13. Comaninity Development Program Administration.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby authorizes staff to submit the
approprLate application forms for 1980-81 Community Development
funds, with such money to be used as indicated in the adopted Com-
munity Development Plan and Program, and hereby authorizes the Mayor,
the City Manager and other appropriate City officials to sign the
application forms wherever necessary.

SECTION 3. The Council finds that none of the provisions of
this resolution will have a significant adverse environmental
impact.
