RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ADOPTING DISCLOSURE CATEGORIES FOR THE CONFLICT OF
INTEREST CODE FOR DESIGNATED POSITIONS AS REQUIRED
BY SECTION 2.09.020 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, Section 2.09.020 requires that this Council adopt
a list of disclosure categories for its Conflict of Interest Code
for Designated Positions;
NOW, THEREFORE 1 the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The following disclosure categories shall exist
for designated employees of the City of Palo Alto:
DISCLOSURE CATEGORIES
1. Persons in this category shall disclose all interests
in real property within the City of Palo Alto or
subject to the jurisdictio.n of the City of Palo Alto.
2. Persons in this category shall aisclose all invest-
ments in business entities and all sources of income
owning real property withiil the City of Palo Alto or
subject to the jurisdiction of the City of Palo Alto.
3~ Persons in this category shall diszlose all invest-
ments in business entities and all sources of income
in the construction or building industry within the
City cf Palo Alto .
. 4. Persons in this category shall disclose all invest-
ments in business entities and sources of income of
the type that provide services. supplies, equipment,
or machinery to the City of Palo Altoe
5. Persons in this category sha.11 disclose all invest-
ments in business entities and sources of income of
the type that provide services, supplies, equipment,
or machinery to the City agency or department with
which the person is affiliated. .
6. Persons in this category shall disclose all invest-
ments in business entities and all sources of income
subject to regulation or control by the City agency
or department with which the peraon is affiliatee.
7. Persons in this category shall disclose all manage~
ment positions he or she holds in any business entity
required to be disclosed in categoriea 1 through 6
above.
For all categories: Financial interests are reportable
only if located within or subject to the jur:tadictton
of the City of Palo Alto or tl the hu.tiness entity ia
doing business or baa don• busine1a within the jurts•
diction at any time during the two yaara prior to the
filing of the statements.

SECTION 2. The Council finds that adoption of this resolution
will b&Ve no significant adverse enviromnental impact.
