RESOLUTION NO. 5722 -----
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE MISCELLANEOUS DIVISION OF LAND AT
335 BRYANT STREET AND 325 LYTTON AVENUE AND GRANTING
EXCEPTIONS
WHEREAS, 35,050 square feet of property zoned CC(P) and located
at 335 Bryant Street and 325 Lytton Avenue in the City of Palo Alto,
hereinafter referred to as the nsubject Propertyn is proposed ~o be re-
divided into two {2) lots; and
WHEREAS, lots in a CC(P) zone district are required by Sectio~
21.20.110 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code to have a width of 60 feet and
an area of 6000 square feet and one of the proposed lots fails to have
this width and area; and
WHEREAS, the ~reposed redivision of land requires exceptions from
said requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Altv does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that there are special condi-
tions affecting the lots, including the fact that Parcel A is already
substandard and will come closer to being a standard lot under this re-
division and the exceptions granted herein are necessary for the pre-
servation and enjoyment of a substantial property right of the petitioner,
and t..~at the exceptions granted herein will not be detrimental to the
public welfare or injurious to other property in the territory in which
this property is situated. '
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approved the Miscellaneous
Division of Land for the subject p::copert: . .-, as shown on the map attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and grants the exception
to the 60 foot width and 6000 square foot area requirements as provided
in Chapter 21.28 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, with the conditions
that: The agreement con~erning the existing pa:.:king lot on Parcel B be
rev.ised to insure that the number and size of parking spaces and the circu-
lation pattern within the lot are not changed.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby finds that the proposed project
will not have a significant impact on the environment.
