HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5717) e ., ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO,· 5717 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALT" COMMENDING THE OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE OF CITY MANAGER GEORGE A. SIPEL WHEREAS, George A. Sipel served the City of Palo Alto for fourteen years as Administrative Assistant, 1963-65, Assistant City Manager, 1967-71, Acting City Manager, 1971-72 and as City Manager 1972-79; and WHEREAS, George A. Sipel has given unself;shly of his time and talents to provide effective leadership on behalf of the total carmunity; and WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of George A. Sipel, the City continued to occupy a position of eminence in tenns of the quality of service provided ~o its citizens; and WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the meritorious service of George A. Sipel. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby conwnends the outstanding public service of George A. Sipel and records its apprec1ation as well as the appreciation of the citizens of this connunity for the service and contribution rendered during his employment with the City.
