RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
COffllENOING THE OUTSTANOI~G PUBLIC SERVICE OF
COUNClLHEMBER ROY 1.. CLAY
ORIGINAL
WHEREAS, Roy L. Clay served the City of Palo Alto as Counci1member
from 1973 to 1979; and
WHEREAS, Cour.cilmember Clay served as Vice Mayor from July 1, 1975 to
June 30, 1915 and a second tenn as Vice Mayor from July 1, 1976 to
June 30, 1977; a~d
WHEREAS, Councilmember Clay has given unselfishly of his time and
talents to provide effective leadership on behalf of the total comnunity; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Councilmember Clay,
the Cit) continuc·j to occupy a position of eminence in tenns of the quaiity
of service provided to its citiztns; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recogniz2 the meritorious
s~rvice of Roy l. Clay.
NOW, THERFFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Palo Alto
hereby cOlmlE!nds the outstanding public service of Roy l. Clay and records
its appreciation as well as the appreciation of the citizens of this
corr~unity for the service and contribution rendered during his tenn on the
Council.
