RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO AL TO
C0"'4EMOING THE OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE OF
COUNCILMEMBER SCOTT T. CAREY
WHEREAS, Scott T. Carey served the City of Palo Alto as Councilmember
from 1975 to 1979; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Carey served as Mayor of Palo Alto from July 1,
1978 to June 30, 1979; and
WHEREAS, Ccuncilmember Carey has given unselfishly ')f his time and
talgnts to provide effective leadership on behalf of the total co1T111unity; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Councilmember Carey,
the City continued to occupy a positi0 n of eminence in ten!ls of the quality
of service provided to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the merito~ious
service of Srott T. Carey.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Palo Alto
hereby corrmends the outstanding public service of Scott T. Carey and records
its appreciation as well as the appreciation of the citizens of this
colilTiunity for the service and contribution rendered during his tenn on the
Council.
