The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTIOU 1. Pursuant to Section 12.20.010 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code, Schedules S-1 (Donestic Sewag~ Collection and Dis-
posal) and S-2 (Commercial Sewage Collection and Disposal) of the
Palo Alto Utilities Rates and Charttes hereby are amended to read as
shown on "Sheets no. 12lg and 123h' attached hereto and incorporated
herein.
SECTIOU 2. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that the
revenue derived from the adjustment of said rates shall be used only
for the purposes set forth in the Palo Alto City Charter, Article
VII, Section 2, entitled "Public Utilities Revenue." Theref~re,
the adoption of this resolution and the rate adjustments are speci-
fically exempted under Public Resources Code Section 21080(b)(8)
from the requirements the California Envirorunentgl Quality Act.
SECTION 3. The foregoing change shall become effective July 1,
1979.

An occupied domestic dwelling is design~ted as any house, cottage.
flat, duplex unit, or apartment unit having kitchen, bathJ and

rendered.
A~y dwelling unit not being individµally served by gas or electric
meter will be considered as continuously occupied.
For any dwelling unit being ser'Ved by more than one sewer connection,
t~~ ~ontbly charge will be applied to eaeh connection.

dwelling units.

SPECIAL NOTE~:.
Upon appli~ation from establishments matntaining ~xtensive irrigated
landscaping. the monthly charge will be based upon the average water
usage for the months of December, January and February.
Sewage metering facilities may be required~ in which ca2e service
will be governed by terms of a special agreement.
