HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5693• • 'I " ORIGINAL RESOLUTION .NO. 5693 RESOLUTIO~ OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING THE PALO ALTO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted a review and on April 25, 1979, held a p~operly noticed public hearing to consider certain amendments to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan and has ~ecom­ mended thdt certain amendments to the Comprehensive Plan be made; NOW, TH~REFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. The Council finds that changed conditions and the public interest, health, safety and welfare require those certain ame~1d­ ments to the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan as set forth in Section 2 hereof. SECTION 2. The Council hereby amends the Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan as follows; a. Hou.sing, page 13, Program 18 Delet<? "multiple11 so that Program 18 reads as follows: •in new housing developments of 10 or more units, not less than 10 percent of the units should be provided at below-market rates to moderate-and middle-income families. In some cases, it. will be desirable t.o obtaiH fewer than 10 percen~ of the units, but at a deeper dis- count. In other cases, payments to support the City's housing programs for low and moderate income persons may be rnade in lieu of providing units." b. Land Use Plan Map Change the land use designation of the property at 2165, 2185 and 2211 Park Boulevard from Regional/ community Conunercial to Research/Office Park as shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incor- porated herein. SECTION 3. The Coun~il hnreby finds that the adoption of this Resolution will not cause any significant environmental impacts.
