RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
CONGRATULATING THE STAFF or THE PALO ALTO HIGH SCHOOL NEWS?APER "THE CAMPANILE"

On Satu~day, May 12, 1979, the San Francisco Press Club gave out
five awards for excellence to Northern California high school
newpapers and staff members; and
Of the five top awards presented, the staff of the Palo Alto High
School Newpaper "The Campanil2" received i:hree; and
These awards were: Best High School Newspaper, Best Feature
Article, and Best P~otography; and
The st:.Jdents res pons fol e for these honors are DAI/ ID LEWIS, Editor
in Chief of "The Campanile"; RANDALL LEE, Photo Editor; and
JEFFREY MALTZMAN, Entertainment Editor and author of the Best
Feature Article.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Paio Alto doe~ RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1: That -~:~is Counci 1 recognizes the outs tan ding
achievements of 11 The Campanile" and in particular recognizes
DAVID LEWIS, RANDALL LEE, anti JEFFREY MALTZMAN for their
contributions to journalism.
SECTION 2: That this Council, on behalf of the people of Palo
Alto, express£s its heartfelt congratulations to Palo A1to High
Schoo! and DAVID LEWIS, RANDALL LEE and JEFFREY MALTZMAN upon
receiving these awards.
