RESOLUTION OF TUE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ADOPTING CAL!!"OR!UA CODE OF CIVIL PROCEDURE SECTION
1094.6 ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM 'fIUE LIUIT FOR
AGGRIEVED PARTIES TO SEEK JUDICIAL REVIEW OF
ADMINISTRATIVE DECISIOUS RENDERED BY 11lE CITY
WHEREAS, California Code of Civil Procedure Section 1094.6
authorizes the City to adopt a maximum time limit for aggrieved
parties to seek judicial review of administrative determinations
rendered by the City; and
WHEREAS, such a time limit serves the beneficial purpose of
elimin.ating dilatory appe.als of administrative determinations; and
WHEREAS, theCity is desirous of establishing reasonable time
limitations for preserving evidence regarding such determinations;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows: -------------
SECTION 1. The provisions of California Code of Civil Procedure
Section 1094.6 shall apply to any "decision", as said term is defined·
by Section 1094.6, rendered by the City of Palo Alto.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project under
the California Environmental Quality Act and, therefore, no environ-
mental impact assessment is necessary.
