RESOLUTION no . 5654
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF Till CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERIUG WEEn UUISANCE ABATED
l~riEREAS, this Council did on January 15, 1979, adopt its Resol-
ution No. 5628 declaring weeds to be a nuisance and setting February
12, 1979, at 7:30 p.n., in the City Hall as the time and place for
a hearing of objections to the proposed destruction or removal of
weeds; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said Resolution Uo. 5628, notice
of such hearing was given in the manner provided by law, as appears
from the affidavits on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the time
therein fixed; and
l-lllEREAS, interested persons appeared or filed written
object.ion against said proceedings or any part thereof, all persons
desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard, and all
matters and things pertaining to said weed abatement were fully
heard and considered by this Council;
NO\~, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. Any and all objections to the proposed destruction
or removal of such weeds be. and each of them hereby is, ove~ruled.
SECTION 2. The Director of Public Works hereby is ordered to
abate such nuisance, or cause the same to be abated by means of
Contract Ho. 3820 for that purpose with the County of Santa Clara.
and as provided in Chapter 3.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, and
to do all other things necessary and authorized in said chapter.
SECTIOU 3. The Council of the City of Palo Alto finds that none
of the provisions of this resolution will have a significant adverse
environmental impact.
