RESOLU'rION NO. 5653 -----
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE 1978-79 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
AND BUDGET
WHEREAS, on February 13, 1978,:by adoption of Resoluticn No. 5517
the Council of the City of Pc-lo Alto adopted the 1978-79 Conununity
oevelopment Plan and Program and Budget, as amended on April 10, 1978
by Resolution No. 5540; and
WHEREAS, the Finance and Public Works Committee of the Council
and the Council have held advertised public hearings on said Community
Developm~nt Plan and Program and Budget; and
WHEREAS, potential uses of federal Community Development Block
Grant funds have been evaluated in light of the needs of the community
and the comments and recommendations submitted by the Citizens'
Advisory Committee and other interested citizens; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this program to give the highest
priority to activities which will benefit low/moderate income persons
and aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council hereby amends the 1978-79 community
Development Plan and Program and budget, adopted by Resolution No.
5517 and amended by Resolution No. 5540, to eliminate the funding in
the amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000) for Lytton Gardens II
Landbank, to provide funding in the amount of Eighty Thousand Dollars
($80,000) for the Stevenson House Hot Water System, and to increase by
Ten Thousand Dollars .($10,000) the funding for contingencies.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby authorizes staff to incorporate
these changes in the 1978-79 Community Development Plan and Program and
budget and into any required or appropriate submittals to HUD.
SECTION 3. The Council finds that none of the provisions of this
resolutlon will have a significant adverse environmental impact.
