RESOLUTION OF TUE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING A DETERMINATION BY LOT OF THE ORDER OF .
CANDIDATES' NAMES ON THE BALLOT -
MAY 8, 1979 ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has scheduled a municipal
election for May 8, 1979, among other things, to elect four
Councilmembersi and
WHEREAS, Article VIII, Section 3, empowers the City Council
to determine the order of listing the candidates' names on the
Ballot oy lot;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
···RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The order of listing the candidates' name on
the ballot for the May 8, 1979, City of Palo Alto election shall
oe determined by lot on March 12, 1979. The City Clerk is
directed to arrange such procedure.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that none of the provisions
of this resolution will have a significant adverse environmental
iJUpact.
