HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5604,.. , 0829h RESOLUTION NO. 5604 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS UNIVERSITY AVENUE AREA OFFSTREET PARKING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 75-63 1978-79 CHANGE AND MODIFICATION PROCEEDINGS 10/23/78 ORIGINAL RESOLVED, by the council of the City of Palo Alto, California, .that it is the intention of said Council to order changes and modifications in the Engineer's Report filed and approved pursuant to Resolution No. 5242, A Resolution of Intention to Acquire and Construct Improvements, adopted by this Council on August 9, 1976, by proceeding with either Alternpte I 2!. Alternate II as hereinafter generally described: Alternate I. Complete the acquisitions and improvements as generally described in said Resolution of Intention and in said Engineer's Report, but increase the total Engineer's Estimate of Cost and the total principal amount of bonds proposed to be issued from $791,000 to $966,000J or Alternate II. Complete a smaller parking lot on properties known as 412 and 420 Kipling Street and abandon th~ acquisition and ._improvement of proper ti es known as 424 and 440 Lytton Avenue at the southwesterly corner of Kipling Street and Lytton Avenue. In considering Alternate I, the Council reserves the right to order either the original plan for said parking lot, which provided for parking spaces on said properties at 424 and 440 Lytton Avenue, or the plan as finally approved, which provided for landscaping of said properties. The Engineer's Report on Alternate I and the Engineer's Report on Alternate II, each dated October 30, 1978t are hereby '· • • -. ----------------------. preliminarily approved and ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Monday th 8th --------' e ----day of January , 197!, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing on said changes and modifications and when and where all persons interested therein may be heard and when and where the Council will consider the ordering of either Alternate I or Alternate II, as described above. The City Clerk shall give notice of such hearing by causing a copy of this resolution to be posted on or near the Council Chamber door7 to be published twice in the Palo Alto Times, a newpaper of general circulation in the City of Palo_Alto1 and to be mailed, postage pcepaid, to the property owners involved as provided in subsection (f) of Section 13.04.150 of said Code, said posting, first publication and mailing to be completed not less than ten da~·s prior to the time fixed for said hearing.
