Additional Stop Signs
Proposed Modification to Stop Interseccion System
Center/Hamilton/Southwood (3-way to 5-way)
It has been observed thac this 3-way intersection is confusing to many
motorists who seem co think the int~rsection is a 5-way· stop. Poor
sight distance visibility due to trees and bushes creates a need for
stop signs on Center.
Embarcadero Road/Harbor Road (1-way to 3-way)
This change will improve vehicular right-of-way assignment and is
essential as an interim solution pending the development of intersection
improvements to resolve the traffic problems and concerns.
West Meadow/El Camino Way (1-way to 3-way)
This intersection will be changed from a 1-way stop to a 3-way stop
i~ order to provide a safer crossing for bicyclists and pedestrians
going t~ and from school along this route. The rec~nt closure of Term.an
Middle School may result in as many as 100 children using the West
Meadow/El Camino Way intersection. The 3-way stop has been recommended
by the City-School Traffic Safety Committee.
