A RESOLUTION OF !N'rF.NTION 'J'O
CHANGE AND MODIFY ASS8SSMEN'r FORMULA
CALIFORNIA AVENUE AREA OFF-STREET PARKING
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto1 Cali-
fornia, that the public convenience and necessity require and
that it is the intention of the Council to make changes and modi-
fications in the formula for computing annual assessments levied
to pay the costs of maintenance and operation of off-street parking
facilities in the California Avenue Area Off-Street Parking Main-
tenance District: to wit:
Such annual assessment shall be apportioned among the
properties within said district on the basis that twenty-five per-
cent (25%) of the total ~~ount of the proposed annual assessment
shall be apportioned against all properties in the district which
are subject to special assessment under the State and Federal
Constitutions in proportion to land area, and the remaining seventy-
five percent (75%) shall be apportioned on the basis of the ordinance
formula set forth in Section 13.16.150 (Bond Plan G -Vehicle Off-
Street Parking Bonds) of Chapter 13.16 of Title 13 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVE~ that Monday, the 19th day of June 1
1978, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers,
Civic Center, 250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, California, are
hereby fixed as the cimc and place when and where a public hearing
will be held on the question of whether such changes and modifica-
tions will be ordered and when and where all persons interested
therein will be heard. Any person interested may file a written
protest at or before the time fixed for hearing and may submit
oral or written testimony during the hearing.
The City Clerk shall give notice of said hearing by
publishing a copy of this Resolution in the Palo Alto Times twice.
the first of which shall be at least ten days prior to the time
fixed for tlaid hearing and by mailing as required by Section
13.04.150 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
