RESOLUTION OF Ttrn COUNGJ.L OF.THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
A:tENDING THE 1978-79 C0Nl-1UHITY DEVELOPXEllT PROGRAM
AND BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the City Council has held an advertised public hearing
on said Cormnunity Development Program and Budget; and
WHEREAS, potential uses of federal Community Development Block
Grant fund8 have been evaluated in light of the needs of the com-·
munity and the comments submitted by interested citizens; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this program to give the highest
priority to activities which will benefit low/moderate income per-
sons and aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows~
SECTION 1. The Council hereby amends the approved Community
Development budget of February 13, 1978, to increase funding for
the Senior Center Development by $37,000, to provide funds for
housing landbank.in the amount of $90,000 and to decrease funding
for the Rental Housing Acquicition Program by $127,000.
~ECTION 2. The Council hereby authorizes staff to incorporate
these cnanges into the 1978~79 Community Development application
for submittal to HUD. ·
SECTION 3. The Council finds that none of the provisions of
this resolution ~"":ill have a significant adverse environmental impact.
