RESOLUTION NO. 5510
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CI~ OF PALO ALTO
APPROVIllG THE MISCEI.LAHEOUS DIVISION OF LAND AT
480 MARION AVElroE AHD GRANTING EXCEPTIONS
WHEREAS, approximately 11,261 square feet of property zoned R-1
and located at 480 Marion Avenue in the City of Pa~? Alto, her~inafter
referred to as the "subject property" is proposed to be divided into
two (2) lots; and
WBEREA..S, lots in an R·l zone district are required by r-ction
21.20.110 of the Palo Altn Municipal Code to have a depth of 100 feet
and a width of uO feet and the prqposed lots fail to have this depth
and width; and
WHEREAS, both the depth and width stated above require exceptions
from said requirements; .

ROW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto doea RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that there are special condi-
tions~· the lots and that the.exceptions granted herein are
necessary for the pr~servatioc and enjoyment cf a substantial pro-
perty right of the petitioner, Dd t1'-:.at the exceptions granted herein
will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to oth~·r
property in the territory in wh1.ch thia property is situated. · ·
SECTION 2. The City ~ouncil hereby approves the Miscellaneous Division of Land for the sUhject·property, shown en the map attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference. and grants the excep-
tions to the one bUn.dred (100) foot depth and sixty (60) foot width ·
requirements as provided in Chapte~ 21.28 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code, subject to the following condition:
1. No variances shall be granted for any future buildings on
these parcels.
. SECTION 3. The City Council hereby finds that the proposed
project Will not have significant impact on·.·the environment .
