A RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS ON
OF PRELIMINARY DETBRMINATION AND OF
NO. 5370

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that
WHEREAS, this Council dld on March 21, 1~77, 3dopt its
Resolution of Preli~inary Determination and of Intention No. 5370 to
acquire and construct public improvements in and·.£or--sa-id~ity1
WBBk.BAS, on September 6, 1977, this Council adopted a
resolution appointing time and place of hearing protests in ~elation
to the proposed acquisitions and improvements and directing notice:
WBBRBAS, notice was given of the tiae and place therein stated
in the aanner provided by law, as appears frOM the affidavits ~nd
certificates on file in the office of the City Clerk:
WBRRBAS, said aatter came on regularly for hearing at .the tiae
therein fixed1 and

heard were fully heard1

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED ACQUISITIO~S AND IMP~VEMENTS
WILLOW ROAD PROJECT NO. 74-65
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
The widening and improving of Sand Hill Road from
Santa Cruz Avsnue to ·!ts northeasterly terminus, and
Willow Road from said terminus of Sand 1Ull Road
northeasterly to Arboretum Road. by grading and the
construction therein of a four-lane road section,
64-feet wide, located within a 90-foot right of way,
with a landscaped median strip, and by constructing
tbe~ein base pavement, wearing surface, curbs, gutters,
storm drainage facilities, str3et lighting facilities
and landscaping improvements, with bicycle paths
between the edge of curb and the right of way line,
together with such additional acquisitions and improve-
ments as may be necessary to mitigate any environ-
mental lmpacts caused by the project.
The widening and improving of Willow Road from
Arboretum Road northeasterly to El Camino Real
gen~rally along the alignment identified as Align-
ment I as shown on the plat on file in the office of
the City Clerk, by grading and.the construction
therein of base pavement, wearjng surface, drainage·
facilities as required, street lighting facilities,
landscaping improvements, together with such addi-
tional &~~uisicions and improvements as may be
necessary to mitigate any environmental impacts
caused by the project.
The acquisition of all lands, easements, facilities
and rights and the construction of all work a~iliary
to an~ of the above and necessary to complete the same.
