JraSOLUTlON OF THE COUNCIL or THE CITY 0F PALO ALTO
HONORING THE CITY OF LOS ALTOS UPON THE ~CASlON OF
THE TWEN'I'Y-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS INCORPORATION
WH~REAS, the City of Los Altos w~s incorporated on December
1,-1952; and,
WHEREAS, on'December l, 1977, the City of Los Altos will-
celebrate the·twen~y-fifth anniversary of its incorporation; and,
WHEREAS, since December 1, 1952, the City of Los Altos and
the ~ity of Palo Alto have existed and worked together in a spirit
of friendship and mutual cooperation for th~ betterment of the
comm~nities of each city: and, ·
WHEREAS, the City of Los Altos and the City of Palo Alto
are participating jointly in various projects, such as the operation
of a water quality control plant, for the benefit and in the
service of citizens of both cities; and,
WHEREAS, the City of-Lo~-Altos and the City of Palo Alto
are engaged in joint projects, such as the North Sant.a Clara County
Municipal Solid Waste Management Program, designed to address the
critical p~~blems of the future which will affect the citizens of
both cities; and,
_ WHEREAS, the pedestrian and bicycle bridge linking the
City of Los Altos and the City of .. Palo Alto is a symbol of the present.
and future friendship and cooperation between the two ~ities.
NOW, THEREFORE, the-Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows: .
1. The· Council of the City of Palo Alto congratulc-tjs the
City.of L~s Altos upo~ the twenty-fifty anniversary of its ~ncorpor
ation on Dec~.mber l, 1952, and expresses its des~re and hope for
continuing friendship and cooperation with Los Altos in the spir1t
of good neighbors anci in the mutual interest of our communities.
