COMMERCIAL AND OPEN SPACE-CONTROLLED DE~LOPhENT TO
RESEARC4/0FFICE PARK
WHEREAS, _ _a ·Comprehensive Plan, including a map and a report,
entitled •Palo Alto Comprehensive Plan, 1976"1 was adopted by City
qouncil Resolution No. 5291 on November 29, 1976; and-amended by
the City CQUncil Resolution No. 5403 on May 2, 1977, and,
WHEREAS, the-Canprehensive Plan ~and use ·Plan designates
a portion of property·at 2490 Faber Place as •service Commercial"
and property known as 2500 Faber Place. as "Open Space ••• conti:olled Development•; and, ·
WHERE.,S, the owner of said properti~s has requested that the
Land Use Plan be amended·to designate-both.of said properties as
"Office/Research Park•; and . .
. WHEREAS, ·the Planning Commission has reviewed the
proposed amendment.and has submitted a r~port to the City Ct)Wlcil
after a public hearing o:i.i. said amendment on September 28, 1977; and,
. WHEREAS, the City Council advertised a public hearing on the
adoption of said amendment for October 17, 1977, notice of th! time
and place 0£ whi.ch was P'lblished and given in the manner provl.ded
by law, and continued the matter to November 21 and then to -,~ovember · '
28, 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION l. The Land Use ·Plan·of the Comprehensive Plan of
thE< City of rcllo Alto adopted by City council .Resolu.tion No. 5291
and amended by City Council Resolution No. 5403 hereby is amended
by changing the land use desi9·nation of ·that certain property shown
on the map attached hereto as Exhibit A and.incorporated herein,
and comm.only known as 2500 Faber Place and a portion of 2490 Faber
Place from •0pen Space ••• controlled Development• and •service
Carme~cial•, respectively,·to •office/Rese~rch Park".
SECTION 2. said Comprehensive Plan of the City of Palo Alto \_\
shall be endorsed to show that the .Land Use Plan contained therein
has been ao a:nendied by the Council of the City of Palo Alto. ·
SECTION 3. The Council hereby finds that none of the pro-
visicns of this resolution will have a significant environmental
-impact.
