RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 2586 WEST BAYSHORE ROAD AND ·ZONED .9~ (PLANNED··COMMUNITY)
DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, on June 9, 19581·the CQuncil.adopted·Resolution No.
3013 approving the Development Plan for the property known as 2586
West Bayshore Road which property was zoned.P-C (Planned·Community); and,
WHEREAS, certain amendments to said development plan are now proposed.
NQlii, THEREFORE, the Council of .the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The Development Plan approved by Resolution No.
3013 is hereby modified as shown ·on the documents atta.ched hereto
as Exhibit •A" and· incorporated herein by this.reference, subject to
the followi~g.conditions:
1. Landscaping shall be installed prior to1 March lin, lin9~8d, according to. the approved plan and sha l be ma ta e
and replaced as necesskty to assure normal growth,
health and groomed appea-rance.
2. The owner shall s~bmit a plan within thirty (30)ddayuis to
the Architectural Review Board showing playgroun eq p-
ment for the site, and the playground equipment shall be
installed in accordance with the approved plan.
· ~ ··· SECTrON 2. This change of P-C District Development Plan
-is necessary for the·pl!blic interest, safety, convenience and welfare.
SECTION 3. This project is categorically exempt fran
enYJ.ronmental assessment requirements.

A RESOLOTION OF PRELIMINARY DE'l'ERMINAT!ON
AND OF INTENTION 'l'O ACQUIRE AND CONSTRUCT IMPRO\'EMElllTS
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES CONVERSION
uNDERGROUND OTILITY DISTRICT NO. 19
_RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Santa Clara
County, California, that it does hereby preliminarily detersin~ that
the public interest, convenience and necessity require, and th~t it
intends to order the following work to be done, acquisitions and isprovementa to be ~ade, as follows: ·
l. The conversion of existing overhead electric power
facilities of the City of Palo Alto and the existing overhead
telephone facilities of The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Coapany
to underground locations to serve all of the properties along Ramona
Street froa Forest Avenue to Bomer Avenue, by the construction of
primary and secondary facilities, splice boxes, transformer vaults
and street lighting facilities, and the performance of all work
necessary to change over all of the existing servi~a connections to
the new underground systems. The acquisition of all lands and
easements and the construction of all work auxil~ary to any of the
above and necessary to complete the same, including the removal and
disposal of a11 ·overhead poles and. facilities.
2. To the extent that work, rights, i111Provements or
acquisitions indicated in the Engineer's Report, to be made as
provided herein, are shown to be connected to the facilities, works
or systeJIS of, or are to b6 owned, managed and controlled by, any
public agency other than this entity, or of any public utility, it
is tbe intention of the legislative body to enter into an agreement
or agreeaents with the public agency or public utility or both
pursuant to Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 10100) of DiYision 12
of the Streets and Highways Code, which agreement or agreements
shall provide for the ownership by said agency or utility of such
works. rights, improvements or acquisitions, and may provide for the
installation of all or a portion thereof by said agency or utility and for the providing of service to the properties in the area
benefiting fro. said work, rights, improve•ents or acquisitions by
said agency or utility in accordance with its rates, rules 3n1
r99ulations, and that said agreement or agreements shall beco;;ie
effective after proceedings have been taken for the levy of the
&3sessaents arad sale of bonds and funds.·are available to ca·rry out the teras of any such agreeaent or agreements.
3. All of the blocks, streets and alleys herein mentioned are shown on •aps of· record in the office of the County Recorder of
Santa Clara County, State of California; and shall be shown upon the
plans herein referred to and to be filed with the City Clerk of said City.
